20 Oct PIVOT Selected For Global Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism
We are excited to announce that PIVOT was recently selected by the Ministry of Health as one of only two international NGOs to be members of the Global Fund’s Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) in Madagascar! The CCM’s primary mandate is to oversee Global Fund grants and support the drafting of national strategies for HIV, Malaria, and tuberculosis. In collaboration with other members of the CCM, PIVOT will now have a voice as part of the team that is largely responsible for deciding how foreign aid is channeled into Madagascar, selecting grant proposals, and overseeing the implementation of projects. This recognition of our young and relatively small organization is an enormous honor and a sign of our good standing with the government and our NGO colleagues. PIVOT looks forward to contributing at the national level and engaging the opportunities that will arise from joining Madagascar’s CCM.
